Description

This Orthodox Christian icon set brings together bust icons of Christ and Panagia, the Theotokos depicted in the beloved “Sweetly Kissing” image with the Christ Child. Created as a companion pair, these sacred images are fitting for display and veneration in a home or parish.

The original icons were written by Akylina Weis at the age of 14 and were two of her first written icons, made with traditional egg tempera. Their presentation reflects the innocence seen in these early works while offering a reverent depiction of Christ and the Virgin Mary.

Theophany Works reproduces each icon on museum-quality matte canvas for rich, saturated coloration and a handwritten-icon appearance. Each print is mounted on a beveled wooden board and finished with a high-quality UV protection sealant, creating a subtle texture and enhancing durability. The sealed surface may be cleaned with a damp cloth.

Made to order in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania studio, every icon includes a maple-shelled keyhole slot for easy, balanced hanging. Please allow 3 weeks for production. This Christ and Theotokos icon set is offered at a discount of 10% or more as a set.
